Indian NBFCs Can Now Tap AI, Automation and Product Engineering Expertise Through Mannil Exim’s New Technology Alliance
A strategic tie-up with Singapore and UAE-based venture studio Bizinnox gives Mannil Exim’s Digital Transformation practice direct access to specialist engineering, cybersecurity and AI capability it does not build in-house
Kochi, India – 8 September 2026
Gold Loan NBFCs looking to modernise branch workflows, customer-facing digital touchpoints or back-office systems have typically faced a narrow choice: hire an in-house technology team they cannot easily justify at their scale, or bring in a generic IT vendor unfamiliar with how a Gold Loan branch actually operates. Mannil Exim, a Kochi-based NBFC and Gold Loan consulting firm, has closed that gap through a strategic alliance with Bizinnox Inc, a boutique venture design collective headquartered in Singapore and the UAE, giving its Digital Transformation & Technology Enablement practice direct access to specialist AI, automation and product engineering capability without requiring NBFC clients to build or manage that expertise themselves.
A network built for specialist problems, not generic software
Bizinnox, operating since 2012, functions as a hub for a specialist network spanning custom systems engineering and DevSecOps, high-end product design, and cybersecurity and AI, with capabilities extending into digital transformation, product engineering, business process digitisation and intelligent business platforms. Rather than a single in-house team covering every discipline, the firm coordinates specialist labs for each capability, a structure designed to match the right expertise to a given problem rather than forcing every engagement through the same generalist team. Through the alliance, that network now sits behind Mannil Exim’s own advisory work in a sector, Gold Loan NBFCs, where digital adoption has historically lagged larger commercial banks, constrained by branch-heavy operating models, thinner technology budgets, and a customer base that has until recently transacted almost entirely in person.
How the two firms say the work will actually split
According to Mannil Exim, the arrangement pairs its own operational depth in Gold Loans, NBFC operations, branch networks, sales and process with Bizinnox’s strategy, engineering and automation expertise, with the explicit goal of building solutions for genuine operating problems rather than adding technology for its own sake. In practice, that means Mannil Exim defines the operating problem, from branch-level workflow bottlenecks to customer-facing digital gaps, while Bizinnox’s specialist labs handle the underlying engineering, product design and automation work required to solve it, with Mannil Exim remaining the single point of contact for the client throughout.
“How can we use technology to solve real problems in financial services, not simply add more technology to the business,” is how Mannil Exim’s Director & CEO, Liril Thomas Rajan, has described the founding question behind the alliance, which he said emerged from an informal conversation with Bizinnox founder John Cherian rather than a formal pitch process.
Starting narrow, with room to broaden
The companies have said their initial focus will remain the Gold Loan and NBFC ecosystem, with an ambition to extend the partnership into broader financial-services opportunities as the collaboration matures. That narrower starting point is deliberate: rather than pitching a broad digital transformation mandate to NBFC clients unfamiliar with what that typically entails, the alliance is positioned around specific, recognisable operating problems inside Gold Loan branches and back offices, accessed through Mannil Exim’s own Digital Transformation & Technology Enablement practice rather than requiring a client to engage Bizinnox directly.
